So I was playing around with limited colour palettes and ended up drawing tiny colourful anime. Will cut the watercolours for a while now, let’s get inking…

I think there’s roughly one (1) person on tumblr who knows who they are. 10 years old characters, barely touched at any point during the past seven pretty much.

Yesterday was a rather boring and sad evening so I just drew some nonsense without much thought and painted it, using fairly limited colour palettes.

For the portraits, I used Naples Yellow, Scarlet Lake, Sepia and Cobalt Turqoise (and some Neutral Tint for the colourless gentleman in the middle, out of pure impatience).

For the castle cliff, Burnt Umber, Olive Green, Yellow Ochre and Cerulean Blue.

For the gentleman with the random red cloth, the leftovers from the portraits + some indigo left over on the palette from another picture.

Thanks to Wera for suggesting the colour schemes to my tired brain, and thanks to Indigo for being there for me through all these years, but I think we need to take some time off from each other now. You’ve been entering into everything I do lately, and this has to end. You’re smothering me.

Some inks and some sort of… idea for a plan or something. This is about how detailed my plans are, usually.

Maybe that’ explains a lot.

WELL THAT WAS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE. I liked linearting this and the fact that it went pretty quick but sometimes when we have fun we end up failing hard. OH WELL on to the next thing!

I’ll stop spamming for tonight but while I was at it I scanned this sketch for an ink/watercolour drawing with wera’s character being generally threatening in the background and mine just doing what he does best in violent times. Hiding.

Drawn on Sverok’s conference note pad. This is why I love the Swedish gamer’s union so much - they supply the tools to doodle at their meetings.

(Ok I also like them because they’re (or we’re as I should say) awesome)

So I recorded some sketching using some random gamut map as part of a challenge.

So I made some sketches the other day of sakana characters from Mad’s web comic Sakana (you should all read it because it is a really neat comic and Mad is an awesome person etc), to see if I could draw them in my usual style. Then I ended up drawing cartoony fanart anyway to cheer myself up!

OH WELL here is a picture of some FRIENDS.

Enviro sketch for the upcoming game >Human by Urverksspel. Redrew the right half of the picture in later versions though.

Hopefully this will evolve into OK COMPOSITION when I use the VALUES STONE on it in the colouring stage. I also forgot how to make proportionate heads, but having a lot of fun inking. Oh inks how I have missed you.

Sakaners because Mad is awesome and her comic too. These are sketches done to try and see if I could even draw these characters in my style but keep them recognisable - and because Mad is an awesome character designer, it worked! (I hope). Hopefully I’ll manage to draw something a little more refined later. Also, Jiro’s shark fin hair couldn’t even fit on the page. What’s up with that. (spoiler: Bad planning is what’s up with that)
