Jonathan Grip drawn quickly on an extraordinary machine. Character belongs to uzlolzu.
Okay as you can see I can doodle in photoshop again, and because giddyness cannot be contained, here’s my new facebook profile picture.
So tonight was
I was pretty happy with this ~10 min phone doodle.
Originally, I was going to paint this in gouache, but needed something small to practice on after a four year hiatus from colour pencils.
I showed uzlolzu my colour check for this and she painted over it beautifully. Her painting is amazing and in the end helped a lot in getting this right, so I’ll consider this a collaboration gone full circle.
I now remember what colour pencils can - and can’t - do.
Her iron constitution is impressive; possibly second only to vidrig's.
Let’s pause for a moment and admit that uzlolzu cooks almost as well as she draws and arts in general.
I shall never enjoy the food of mere mortals again.
Your eggs, however, are always masterpieces way beyond anything I could ever wish to achieve.
Lets not forget she also has an iron stomach when it comes to just eating frozen fucking meatballs :I
I ain’t forgotten that
Fanart of Raseed bas Raseed, my favurite character from the Crescent Moon Kingdom series of books by Saladin Ahmed. The prologue is available for free online if you want to check it out.
Live by the sword and you’ll have a hard time not dying by it too. I’m almost certain Raseed would rather say he lives by Virtue, but he’s only just now finding out that virtue lives in strange places.
Gouache and some editing in PS.
Bam, I wrote names in the middle of everything.
xhakhal did a super pretty sketch/composition and let me render it <3. I’m happy with the face =u=
Martin belongs to xhakhal
I made a quick underpainting/digital colour check for a gouache painting I’m working on, in the meantime uzlolzu rendered it digitally for great success.
The foul-mouthed Rrook is probably the silliest (and best) little piece of W:tA I ever did put on a character sheet.
When I was 12 or 13 and got into playing role playing games I needed to make a character for medieval fantasy Europe setting and this is the magician I came up with. I still draw him sometimes though Sjazna is probably the only person alive who still remembers anything about him or anyone else from that game.
This year that was half my life ago!
I didn’t really know you, and now I never will, but I know you were a teacher and in my book, that’s a hero of a very special kind.
I’m sorry you didn’t get all the years you should have had, and that you never got the chance to tell all your stories - but I hope too that the years you got were all good ones.
Even if you only had twenty nine.
